Start the New Year right with these Healthy style turkey meat balls. They will soon become a favourite!
|1||lbs Maple Leaf Prime® Ground Turkey|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) garlic, minced|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) sundried tomatoes in oil, drained and finely chopped|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) dried oregano|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) parsley, fined chopped|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) feta cheese, finely crumbled|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) oil|
PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees.
COMBINE all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well to combine.
USING a heaping tbsp.
FORM 16 to 18 meatballs.
HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
WORKING in batches carefully brown meatballs turning often.
PLACE browned meatballs on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until cooked to 165 degrees.
SERVE meat balls over rice with Kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes and spinach if desired.
