Bright and zesty citrus gives flavour to familiar chicken wings that are grilled to perfection.
|lemon and garlic|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Olive Oil|
|1||Small onion, chopped|
|2||Cloves garlic, minced|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Lemon zest|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Lemon juice|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Barbeque sauce|
|.25 cup||(60 mL) Sherry vinegar|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Turmeric|
|Salt and Pepper|
|2 lbs||(1 kg) Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Wings|
COMBINE all marinade ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until well blended.
PLACE wings and marinade in a large plastic freezer bag. Seal the bag securely. Gently massage the marinade into the wings. Refrigerate a minimum of four hours or overnight.
PREHEAT BBQ to medium heat. Spray grates with non-stick cooking spray. Remove wings from marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes per side until they are golden brown and an internal temperature of 185°F (85°C) is reached.
SERVE with your favourite dipping sauce.
