Pesto and Swiss cheese turn an everyday breakfast sandwich into a welcome treat.
|4||Dempster’s® English Muffins|
|8||Slices Maple Leaf® Bacon|
|Salt and pepper|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Pesto|
|4||Slices Swiss cheese|
COOK bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
REMOVE all but 2 tbsp (30 mL) bacon dripping from the pan and fry the eggs to your liking. Season with salt and pepper.
TOAST English muffins lightly. Spread pesto on one side of each toasted English muffin. Arrange cheese slice on the other half. Add bacon, egg and sliced tomatoes. Top with pesto coated muffin top. Serve hot.
