|1 tbsp||(15 mL) water|
|1 Pkg||Tenderflake® puff pastry, thawed|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) tomato sauce|
|1 cup||(250 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese|
|12||slices pitted ripe olives|
Heat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat egg and water in small bowl with fork.
Roll out each block of pastry to make a 10-inch square. Cut each pastry sheet into 3 rectangles. Cut each pastry rectangle in half crosswise, making 6 (about 3x5") rectangles. Place pastry rectangles onto baking sheet. Chill in freezer for 5 minutes.
Spread about 2 tbsp (30 mL) of tomato sauce on each pastry to edge. Top each with about 3 tbsp (45 mL) of cheese and 3 slices of pepperoni.
Cut remaining pastry sheet into 6 rectangles. Cut each pastry rectangle crosswise into 12 (about 3/4" wide) strips, making 36 in all. Chill in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Arrange 12 pastry strips on each pastry, placing slightly askew over filing to resemble mummy's bandages. Brush with egg mixture. Place 2 olive slices on each pastry to make eyes
Bake 20 minutes or until pastries are golden brown. Let pastries cool on baking sheet on wire rack for 10 minutes.
