Succulent flavours of cheeses and fresh vegetables make this a winner for breakfast or brunch!
|1/2 lb||Maple Leaf Ready crisp cooked Bacon|
|1||Onion (small - chopped)|
|1 cup||Broccoli (chopped)|
|1 tbsp||chopped fresh parsley|
|1 cup||Heavy Cream|
|1||Tenderflake Deep Dish Pie Crust|
|1/2 cup||Grated Gruyere Cheese|
|1/2 cup||Grated Swiss Cheese|
Preheat Oven to 375F. Place pie shell on rack and bake until shell starts to brown slightly.(approx 8-10 mins). Remove from oven and let cool. Arrange bacon slices on bottom of pie shell (i like to break the bacon up until little pieces first). Cover with thinly sliced cooked onions and chopped broccoli. No need to cook the broccoli first. Sprinkle with parsley, add half of cheese and season with pepper.
Place whole egg and additional yolks in a bowl.Pour in cream and add paprika and nutmeg, beat with a whisk.
Pour egg mixture into pie shell and top with remaining cheese. Place quiche on a cookie sheet and bake 35 mins in oven.
Let stand several minutes before slicing. Serve with a side salad or potato chips.
