Classic Egg Salad goes to new heights with artisan bacon and a spicy kick of sriracha, you will never serve egg salad the same way again!
|6||slices Maple Leaf Canadian CraftTM Canadian Whisky and Apple Bacon, large diced|
|3 tbsp||(45mL) chives, chopped|
|2||green onions, chopped|
|1/2 tbsp||(7.5mL) freshly cracked black pepper|
|2 tbsp||(30mL) sriracha sauce|
|1/3 cup||(75mL) mayonnaise|
|4||leaves head lettuce|
|4||slices multigrain seed bread|
Heat a skillet over medium high heat.
Cook bacon 4 to 5 minutes stirring often until browned and just crisp.
Remove from pan with a slotted spoon onto a paper towel lined plate.
Set aside and keep warm. In a large bowl combine diced egg, chives, onion, pepper and mayonnaise.
Stir until just combined.
Season with salt to taste.
To assemble sandwich lay lettuce onto bottom slice of bread followed by egg salad.
Divide bacon between sandwiches and sprinkle over top.
Drizzle with Sriracha sauce and top slice of bread.
Serve with pretzels
