Pizza with Bacon and Potatoes, how more Canadian can you get?


2 lbs pizza dough
4 medium yellow potato, sliced 5mm thin
1 cup medium cheddar
1 cup mozzarella or fontina
7 strips of Maple Leaf bacon
4 sprigs of green onion
6 tbsp fat and thick sour cream
1 tsp cayenne pepper
null olive oil and salt to taste


I make my pizza dough in a bread maker. Once ready, deflate and let sit for 5-10 min.
Brush the baking sheet with olive oil and roll/stretch the dough onto it. Cover loosely and let sit and rise for 20 min.
Bake Maple Leaf bacon at 350F until almost crisp. (10 min) Cut into bits.
Boil potatoes in salted water for 5 min. Drain, let cool.

To assemble, layer in this order:
– pizza dough
– 3 Tbsp sour cream
– potatoes
– cayenne pepper
– 3 Tbsp sour cream
– cheese
– bacon.

Bake 15-18 min @450F. Then broil 3.5 min @500F.

Let sit for 5-10 min before cutting. Garnish with a few dollops of sour cream and green onion.


Can use as a snack or add a salad for a full meal!
