This grilled cheese is a delicious way to start the morning!


1 Pkg (175 g) Maple Leaf Natural Selections Smoked Black Forest Ham
4 sesame bagels, halved
4 eggs
1 cup (250 mL) gruyere cheese
4 slices cheddar cheese
2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
4 tbsp butter


Assemble sandwiches by buttering the cut side of each bagel.

Place bagel cut side down and top with cheddar cheese slice followed by ham and gruyere.

Place cut side of remaining bagel face side up and press down firmly.

Heat oil in a large skillet. Fry bagel 2 to 3 minutes per side or until cheese has melted and sandwich is golden brown.

Top with sunny side up egg.


Serve with a side of lightly dressed water cress salad.
