Add a tasty Italian twist to a classic pizza recipe with Schneiders Italian Style chicken meatballs
|1||large premade Pizza Crust or pizza dough ball|
|1 Pkg||Schneider’s Italian Style Chicken Meatballs, cut in 1/2|
|2 cup||good quality premade tomato sauce|
|1 1/2||fresh mozzarella or bocconcini|
|3||sprigs basil, torn|
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place pizza dough on a lightly floured baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spoon on tomato sauce and cover the base of the pizza dough leaving a 1”inch crust.
Top with meatballs, mozzarella and torn basil.
Bake for 8-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Pizza Dough Recipe:
500 gm ‘00’ flour or bread flour
325 gm water (65% hydration)
10 gm salt
3 gm active dry yeast
Mix the dough in a stand mixer, by hand or in a bread machine. If you are using a stand mixer, mix it slowly for two minutes, faster for 5 minutes, and slow again for 2 minutes.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, or until double. Punch it down and push out the air bubbles. Form the dough into a large ball, then cut it into three 275 gm equal pieces.
