Bring the luck of the Irish home with you for dinner with this tasty twist on a classic Shepherds Pie.


1 Pkg Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Extra Lean Minced Turkey
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 Small onion, diced
2 cloves of Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Tomato paste
3 tbsp Flour
1 1/2 cup Chicken broth
1 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
1/2 lb Fresh asparagus, cut into 1” (2.5 cm) pieces
1 cup Fresh or frozen peas
1 cup Frozen beans
4 Large white potatoes, peeled
2 tbsp Butter
1/2 tsp Salt
1/3 Milk
4 Green onions, finely chopped


CUT potatoes into 2” (5 cm) pieces and place in a large pot of salted water.
Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer and continue to cook, partially covered for 8-10 minutes or until soft.
Drain and add butter. Mash using a hand mixer on medium-low.
Slowly add the milk and beat until creamy.
Season with salt and stir in green onions. Set aside.

PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).

HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add turkey and cook, breaking apart with a wooden spoon for 5-6 minutes.
Add onion and continue to cook until the turkey is evenly browned and the onion is soft.
Stir in garlic, tomato paste and sprinkle with flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Slowly stir in broth and Worchestershire sauce.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and add asparagus, peas and beans.
Simmer for 4-5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

TRANSFER the turkey mixture to a 9x13” (3.5 L) baking dish or a baking dish of your choice.
Top with potato mixture.
Drizzle with melted butter and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
