In the mood for a holiday dinner without all the work (and calories) ? This tasty turkey meatloaf can have you sitting down to a delicious holiday-style meal in only 40 minutes! Keep calories low and serve with your favourite veggies on the side
|1 lb||Maple Leaf Prime Extra Lean Minced Turkey|
|1||large onion, finely chopped|
|2||stalks celery, finely chopped|
|1 (8 oz) oz||package of mushrooms, finely chopped|
|2||cloves of garlic, minced|
|3 tbsp||chopped fresh sage|
|2 tbsp||Olive Oil|
|2 tsp||Worchestershire sauce|
|Salt and Pepper To Taste|
|1/3 cup||Cranberry sauce|
|2 tbsp||Brown sugar|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
HEAT olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high.
Add onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms, garlic and sage.
Cook for 5-6 minutes or until caramelized.
Transfer to a large bowl and allow to cool slightly.
ADD turkey, egg white, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper.
Gently combine using your hands.
PRESS the mixture into a loaf pan or form a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
WHISK together the ingredients for the glaze and pour half over the meatloaf.
Bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serve meatloaf with extra glaze on the side.
