These biscuits are bursting with flavour! Great for your next brunch table or for a quick snack on the go!
|1 Pkg||(375 g) Maple Leaf Prime® Bacon Style Turkey, small dice|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) olive oil|
|4 cups||(1000 mL) flour|
|2 cups||(500 mL) swiss cheese, grated|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) baking powder|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) onion powder|
|1/2 tsp||(2.5 mL) black pepper|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) mustard powder|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) paprika|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) salt|
|3 cups||(750 mL) milk|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) vegetable oil|
|1/3 cup||(75 mL) chives|
PREHEAT oven to 400 degrees.
LINE a 12 slotted muffin tin with 12 muffin wrappers.
LIGHTLY spray with cooking oil.
IN a large bowl sift together flour, baking powder and seasonings.
HEAT oil in a large skillet.
COOK chopped turkey bacon stirring frequently until just started to crisp.
REMOVE onto a paper towel lined tray.
IN another bowl combine eggs, milk and oil.
WHISK to combine well.
ADD wet ingredients to dry ingredients.
STIR to combine.
BATTER will be thick.
GENTLY fold in bacon, cheese and chives.
SPOONS mixture in heaping spoon fulls into each muffin wrapper.
BAKE in oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until an inserted tooth pick comes out clean.
IF biscuits are browning to quickly cover loosely with tin foil.
SERVE warm with softened butter.
Great for a pot luck or shower.
