Creamy cumin spiced avocado is a tasty addition to this sandwich.


1 Bag ready prepared coleslaw mix
1/2 Red Delicious apple, sliced thinly
1/4 cup (60 mL) Mayonnaise
1 tbsp (15 mL) Rice vinegar
1 tbsp (15 mL) Sugar
1 tsp (5 mL) Dijon mustard
1 Large avocado, peeled and pitted
1/4 cup (60 mL) Finely chopped red onion
1 Clove of garlic, minced
1 tsp (5 mL) Ground cumin
1/4 tsp (1 mL) Cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Lime juice
12 Slices Dempster’s® Whole Grains Bread, toasted
2 Packages Country Naturals™ Oven Roasted Turkey Breast
Romaine lettuce, sliced
1 Large tomato, sliced
12 Slices Maple Leaf® Bacon, cooked
Salt and pepper


TOSS coleslaw mix with apple in a medium bowl.

WHISK together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper. Combine with coleslaw. Refrigerate until ready to use.

MASH together, with a fork, avocado, onion, garlic, cumin, cayenne, lime juice, salt and pepper.

SPREAD avocado mixture between 4 slices of toasted bread. Top each with turkey, 1/2 the tomato slices, lettuce and a second slice of toast. Top each with bacon, remaining tomato, lettuce and toast to form club sandwiches.

SERVE with coleslaw.
