About this Recipe

This wonderfully balanced grilled cheese sandwich adds nutrition with a serving of fruit, grains, dairy, and meat. The addition of pear makes the sandwich perfect on its own without the need for any dips, though any sweet tasting dressings or sauces are an ideal match.

This sandwich will certainly make the rotation for the family lunches, enjoyed by all ages.

2 Slices of Dempster's WholeGrains Wheat and Oats with Honey
2 Processed Cheddar Cheese Slices
50 g Maple Leaf sliced deli Turkey
1 Pear (sliced)
2 tbsp Margarine

Butter one side of each of the Dempster's WholeGrains Wheat & Oats with Honey slices of bread with margarine. Place first slice of bread with margarine side DOWN on a preheated frying pan. Follow the bread with a Cheddar Cheese slice. Slice the pear and spread the pieces over the Cheddar Cheese evenly. Next, layer the Maple Leaf Turkey on the pear slices, followed by the last slice of processed cheese. Place the second slice of WholeGrains bread on the assembled sandwich with the margarine side UP.

Fry on Medium until bread is the desired brown, and the bottom layer of cheese is melted. Flip the sandwich over and finally cook until all the cheese is melted.

Cut and Serve.
