These quick and easy croissants can be loaded up and eaten like a meal, or kept light for a snack or appetizer!


1 Pkg 8 pre-made raw croissant dough
1 medium spanish onion, diced
1 tbsp salted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup finely chopped leftover turkey
1/8 tbsp pepper
1/8 tbsp nutmeg


Preheat oven to 375.
In a medium frying pan, heat oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add onions. Cook for 8-10min stirring regularly, or until onions begin to caramelize. Remove from heat. Stir in pepper and nutmeg, mixing well.
Unroll croissants. At the widest point of the croissant, distribute 1 tbsp. of turkey evenly. Top with 1 tbsp. of caramelized onion. Roll, going from the widest point to the thinnest part of the triangle.
Repeat for remaining 7 croissants.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12min or until golden brown.
Serve warm.


If you are looking for a quick way to make a lunch, double the turkey in this recipe and fill the croissants so that they are loaded up. These are a nice change from sandwiches
