These quick and easy croissants can be loaded up and eaten like a meal, or kept light for a snack or appetizer!
|1 Pkg||8 pre-made raw croissant dough|
|1||medium spanish onion, diced|
|1 tbsp||salted butter|
|1 tbsp||olive oil|
|1/2 cup||finely chopped leftover turkey|
Preheat oven to 375.
In a medium frying pan, heat oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add onions. Cook for 8-10min stirring regularly, or until onions begin to caramelize. Remove from heat. Stir in pepper and nutmeg, mixing well.
Unroll croissants. At the widest point of the croissant, distribute 1 tbsp. of turkey evenly. Top with 1 tbsp. of caramelized onion. Roll, going from the widest point to the thinnest part of the triangle.
Repeat for remaining 7 croissants.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12min or until golden brown.
If you are looking for a quick way to make a lunch, double the turkey in this recipe and fill the croissants so that they are loaded up. These are a nice change from sandwiches
