These cute little tuna divan cups of goodness are fun for the kids, and tasty for everyone. Tuna Divan Cups present really well and I love the colours of the red peppers and peas. Dempster’s ZERO 100% Whole Wheat does a great job at providing the base for this recipe.


6 Dempster's ZERO 100% Whole Wheat Bread slices, crust removed
3 tbsp butter or margarine
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/3 cup chopped red pepper
1/3 cup frozen peas
1/3 cup flaked light tuna
1/4 cup shredded cheese
salt and pepper


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Gently press crustless bread squares into muffin tin. Bake for approximately 5 – 10 minutes or until golden. Be careful not to burn.

Melt butter in sauce pan on low heat and stir in flour until smooth. Slowly add milk and whisk together. Cook on medium heat and stir continuously until it thickens. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add salt & pepper to taste.

Add red pepper, tuna and peas. Mix well until combined.

Pour a bit of the sauce over the bread cups. Serve.
