2 tbsp (30 mL) Peanut or vegetable oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) Minced garlic
2 Shallots, minced
1 Pkg (454 g) Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Extra Lean Ground Turkey
1 tbsp (15 mL) Fish sauce
1-2 Thai chili peppers or 2 tsp (10 mL) hot chili paste
1 tsp (5 mL) Soy sauce
1 tsp (5 mL) Sugar
1 1/2 cups (625 mL) Thai basil or basil leaves, stems removed


HEAT oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high. Add garlic and shallots. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add turkey and cook, breaking apart with a wooden spoon until evenly browned. Stir in fish sauce, chillies, soy sauce and sugar. Cook for 1-2 minutes longer and toss in Thai basil leaves. Stir to combine. Serve over basmati rice.
