Avocado, salsa and Monterey Jack cheese turn regular burgers into fiesta burgers.
1 | Dempster’s® Original Hamburger Buns (8) / Ben’s® Original Hamburger Buns (8) |
8 | slices Monterey Jack cheese |
8 | prepared beef burgers |
2 | avocados, peeled, pitted and mashed |
1 cup | (250 mL) tomato salsa |
Grill burgers according to package directions, adding cheese in the last minute of cooking until melted.
Assemble burgers in buns with 2 tbsp (30 mL) mashed avocado on one half of the bun, and 2 tbsp (30 mL) salsa on the other half.
If serving for less people, divide accordingly.
Substitute cheddar cheese for the Monterey Jack cheese, if desired.
