A tangy sweet turkey and havarti sandwich is the anchor of this tasty lunch that provides great nutrition and taste so your child will have sustained energy to learn and play through the afternoon and after school activities.

Ingredients

2 Slices of high quality multi grain whole grain sandwich bread., either toasted or untoasted.
2 Slices of room temperature havarti cheese
2 Slices Schneiders® Country Naturals® Oven Roasted Turkey Breast
2 tsp Russian style mustard
1 tsp Room temperature butter
1 Apple or half large apple, sliced
1 Carrot, washed, peeled and sliced
1 Small cucumber, washed and sliced into half inch pieces.
.5 cup Dried cranberries
8 oz Chocolate milk, cold

Directions

Sandwich
Lightly butter both slices of multi grain, whole grain sandwich bread.
Next, generously spread the mustard on both slices.
Place the cheese slices on one slice of the bread. Fold the turkey slices and place them on the cheese. Cover with the remaining slice of bread.
Cut the sandwich from one corner across to the other. Then cut the half slices into halves again so your sandwich is in quarters.
Place on a plate.

Vegetables
Peel and slice the carrot into bite sized pieces and place on the plate with the sandwich.
Wash and slice the cucumber into half inch chunks and place alongside the carrots.

Fruit
Wash and core the apple. Cut into wedges and place on the plate.
Wash and dry a half cup of dried cranberries. Place them on the plate. Serve.

Beverage
Pour the chocolate milk into a glass and serve along with the lunch plate.
