The only thing that can properly tackle a big appetite like yours is a big sandwich like this!
|1||Loaf French or rye bread|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Thousand Islands dressing|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Mayonnaise|
|1 Pkg||(175 g) Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Salami|
|6||Slices Cheddar cheese|
|4 cups||(1 L) Lettuce, shredded|
|2||Tomatoes, thinly sliced|
|1 Pkg||Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Sliced Ham|
|1||Green pepper, cut into rings|
SLICE the loaf of bread lengthwise into four slices.
MIX together Thousand Islands dressing and mayonnaise. Spread one side of each slice of bread generously with the mixture.
PLACE a layer of salami and cheese on the bottom slice of bread; top with the second slice of bread. Top this slice with lettuce and tomato slices, top with another slice of bread then the ham and green pepper. Top with the final slice of bread.
To serve slice the loaf into sections vertically.
Serve with cherry tomatoes and gherkins on toothpicks.
