Make up the Mango Relish ahead of time to make dinners easy during the first week of school.


8 Maple Leaf® Top Dogs® Original Wieners
8 Dempster's Original Hot Dog Buns
2 cups Ripe
and pitted mango
3/4 cup Diced (unpeeled) English cucumber
1/2 cup Diced tomato
1/4 cup Diced green onion
1/4 cup Diced sweet red pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp liquid honey
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro


In bowl, combine mango, cucumber, tomato, green onion, red pepper, onion and garlic powders, and salt to taste. Stir in lime juice, honey, oil, cumin and cilantro. (For best flavour, refrigerate in airtight container for up to 24 hours before using, and drain before serving).

Place hot dogs on greased grill over medium heat, cover and grill until lightly browned and cooked through.

Toast hot dog buns if desired. Place hot dogs on buns and top each with 1/4 cup of the mango relish.
