About this Recipe

One of our favourite ways to serve pasta. Light tasting and full of fresh flavours, so good!


1/2 lb (225 g) Spaghetti
1/4 cup (60 mL) Olive oil
2 tbsp (30 mL) Minced garlic
1 tsp (5 mL) Dried chili flakes
1 (300 g) Package (4 pieces) Schneiders® Sundried Tomato Basil Chicken Smoked Sausage, cut into 1” (2.
1 cup (250 mL) Cherry tomatoes, halved
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup (60 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp (15 mL) Chopped fresh basil


BRING a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions, reserving ½ cup (125 mL) of pasta water before draining. Set cooked pasta aside.

MEANWHILE heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sauté garlic and chili flakes for 1-2 minutes. Add sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes longer. Add pasta and, using tongs, toss to coat. Add pasta water a bit at a time to moisten and make a light sauce. Stir in cherry tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.

GARNISH with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
