One of our favourite ways to serve pasta. Light tasting and full of fresh flavours, so good!
|1/2 lb||(225 g) Spaghetti|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Olive oil|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Minced garlic|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Dried chili flakes|

|1 cup||(250 mL) Cherry tomatoes, halved|
|Salt and pepper|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Chopped fresh basil|
BRING a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions, reserving ½ cup (125 mL) of pasta water before draining. Set cooked pasta aside.
MEANWHILE heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sauté garlic and chili flakes for 1-2 minutes. Add sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes longer. Add pasta and, using tongs, toss to coat. Add pasta water a bit at a time to moisten and make a light sauce. Stir in cherry tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
GARNISH with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
