|1/2||lb (225 g) Pizza dough|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Pizza sauce|
|1.5 cup||(375 mL) Grated Mozzarella cheese, divided|
|1||(85 g) Package Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Pepperoni Slices|
|1||(175 g) Package Maple Leaf® Natural Selections™ Smoked Ham|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Chopped fresh parsley|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Freshly grated Parmesan cheese|
PREHEAT oven to 500°F (260°C).
STRETCH pizza dough out on a parchment paper lined baking sheet to about a 10x16” (25x 40 cm). Spread pizza sauce over two thirds of the rectangle leaving a 3” (8 cm) border down the length of one side and a 1” (2.5 cm) border at the ends.
SPRINKLE half the cheese over the sauce. Arrange pepperoni and ham slices over the cheese and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Brush egg wash over the border and ends. Roll up the dough tucking in the ends. Begin at the side with the filling and end with the border.
BRUSH the entire Stromboli with egg wash. Mix together parsley and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over the outside. Gently cut slits in the top of the dough roll every 1-2” (2.5 – 5 cm). Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before cutting into pieces. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
