3 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
12 slices of Sun-Maid® Cinnamon Swirl Raisin Bread
1/3 cup of your favourite jam


WHISK together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt in a shallow dish.

SPREAD jam over half of the Sun-Maid® Cinnamon Swirl Raisin Bread and top with remaining slices to make sandwiches.

CUT each sandwich into a festive shape with a large cookie cutter. Reserve remaining bread for another use. Dip each shape into the egg mixture on both sides.

COOK in batches, in a buttered non-stick skillet, over medium low heat until golden, about 3 minutes per side. Dust with icing sugar and serve with warm maple syrup.


TIP: save the leftover bread for use in stuffing, or bread pudding.
