About this Recipe

On a hot weather like this, I do not know what to have for dinner, but I have a sausage in the fridge and I need to be creative and come up with a new recipe. I have a can of chickpeas and I decided to make a spicy chickpeas and sausage cooked in chipotle sauce. An easy light dinner I can call my own. This is for those who loved spicy, tasty dish.

1/2 Pkg Schneiders Chicken Smoked Sausages-Grill'ems Chicken Sausages Chipotle Monterey Jack
1 tbsp olive oil
1 can Chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 tbsp chipotle sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp sweet barbeque sauce
1/2 tsp sriracha sauce

Cut the Schneiders Chicken Smoked Sausages into small cubes. In a frying pan, put the oil, once hot add the sausage cooked for 10 minutes. Add the chipotle sauce, cayenne pepper, sweet barbecue sauce, sriracha sauce and cooked for about 5 minutes stirring constantly. Garnish with parsley on top.

You can use maple syrup or brown sugar to replace sweet barbecue sauce.

The sweet barbeque sauce complements the spicy taste of the sausage and the chickpeas. You can use brown sugar if you do not have any sweet barbeque sauce, or even a maple syrup of your choice will work.
