Ginger, garlicky ham and vegetables over noodles with nutty Thai peanut and hoisin sauce. So tasty and so easy!
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Vegetable oil|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Freshly grated ginger|
|2||Cloves garlic, minced|
|Pinch of chili flakes|
|4 cups||(1 L) Assorted stir-fry vegetables (onion, carrot, broccoli, peppers)|
|1 Pkg||(454 g) instant chow mein noodles|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Maple Leaf® Ham Steak , cut into cubes|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Thai peanut sauce|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Hoisin sauce|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Chopped peanuts|
HEAT oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high. Add ginger, garlic, chillies and vegetables. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes.
MEANWHILE bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook noodles according to the package directions. Drain well and set aside.
ADD ham to the skillet or wok, stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Stir in peanut and hoisin sauce. Add the noodles and toss to coat. Serve hot sprinkled with chopped peanuts.
Try this recipe with rice. Omit the noodles and simply serve over cooked rice.
