About this Recipe

Something different and these tasty fries are baked not fried. This spicy side goes great with Maple Leaf's Spinach and cheese chicken breasts.


1 medium yam-peeled
1 medium potato-peeled
2 tbsp Olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 pinch salt
1 turn of a pepper mill


Preheat oven to 425 F. Peel potato and yam, chop into size of french fries. In a large bowl add olive oil and fries, toss to coat. In a small bowl add all spices,salt and pepper, use a whisk and mix until combined. add this mix to the fries, mix until all fries are coated. Place on a cookie sheet and bake in oven for 30-40 minutes until golden and cooked through, flip fries once during cooking process. Enjoy!
