2 tbsp (30 mL) Vegetable oil
2 Onions, chopped
1 tbsp (15 mL) Garlic, minced
2 Packages Maple Leaf Prime® Extra Lean Minced Turkey
1 tbsp (15 mL) Chili powder
1 tbsp (15 mL) Ground cumin
1 tsp (5 mL) Chili flakes
2 tsp (10 mL) Smoked paprika
1 (28 oz/796 mL) Can crushed tomatoes
1 cup (250 mL) Chicken broth
3 tbsp (45 mL) Apple cider vinegar
1 (19 oz/540 mL) Can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 Green bell pepper, chopped
1 Red bell pepper, chopped
Salt and pepper


HEAT oil over medium-high in a large pot. Add onion and garlic. Sauté for 4-5 minutes or until soft.

ADD turkey and cook until browned, about 10 minutes. Add spices and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add tomatoes, broth, cider vinegar, kidney beans and peppers. Stir to combine. Simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
