This creamy pasta dish full of sausage is enhanced with smoked flavour. Certainly to become a favourite at your dinner table.
|2 tbsp||olive oil|
|1/2 tbsp||smoked paprika|
|1 Pkg||mild italian chicken sausage, diced|
|2||cloves garlic, minced|
|1 cup||water or chicken broth|
|1||jar prepared tomato sauce|
|1/2 cup||heavy cream|
|1 Pkg||cheese filled tortellini|
|1 cup||parmesan cheese|
|1/3 cup||parsley, chopped|
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook onion until softened, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add paprika and cook for an additional minute stirring often. Add chicken sausage and garlic. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Pour in water, tomato sauce and cream. Simmer for about 5 minutes and sauce has thickened slightly. Cook tortellini per package directions.
Toss cooked pasta with the sauce and garnish with parmesan and parsley.
You can alternate by trying ravioli or a shaped pasta
