About this Recipe

This is a great recipe for meal prep for the week. You can prepare a large portion of chicken and reheat it to eat with rice and veggies, or on top of a salad. If you don't have allspice on hand, you can substitute for 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ground cloves.

4 Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp water
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp chili flakes
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Pinch cayenne pepper
Black pepper to taste
1/2 cup water

Place chicken breasts in the bottom of slow cooker pot. Pour 1/2 cup water into bottom of pot. In a small bowl, combine all other ingredients and whisk together. Pour mixture over chicken. Use the back of a spoon to spread spices and herbs to coat chicken. Cook for 4 hours on high. After cooking time is complete, break chicken breasts up with a wooden spoon for large pieces or shred with two forks for smaller pieces.
