This Slow Cooked Chicken and Chickpea Chili is packed with both protein and punch!


2 tbsp (30 mL) Olive oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) Butter
2 Onions, thinly sliced
3 lb Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Extra Lean Ground Chicken
1 can Salsa medium
1 can Chickpeas, drained
1 tbsp (15 mL) Lemon juice
1 tsp (5 mL) Lemon zest
1/2 tsp Thyme
Salt and pepper
2 lbs Peanut butter
3 lbs Juice of a Lemon
1 lbs Curry powder
1/2 tbsp Curcumin powder
1 can Kidney Beans (drained)
1 cup Maple Sirup


Combine all items in a slow cooker , let cook for 4 hrs, stirring every hour then turn off and let rest for 1 hour before serving.
