Quick and easy recipe that can be prepared ahead of time and frozen. My family loves the taste of this recipe and I love how easy it is to make. Use you favorite type of store bought marinara sauce of make your own to provide another layer of flavor to the sauce.
|1 lb||Prime Ground Turkey|
|1 lb||Mild Italian Sausage|
|2 can||store bought marinara sauce|
|28 oz||diced Italian tomatoes|
|12 oz||tomato paste|
|15 oz||tomato sauce|
|3 tbsp||brown sugar|
|2 tbsp||dried basil|
|2 tbsp||fresh chopped parsley|
In a skillet, cook the ground turkey and Italian sausage. Drain all of the fat and put in the slow cooker. Add all of the other ingredients to the slow cooker and stir well. Cook on low for a minimum of 8 hours.
Cook the spaghetti noodles and add the amount of sauce desired. The remainder of the sauce can be frozen for the future.
