5 Dempster’s® Deluxe Hamburger Buns, divided
1 lb (454 g) Shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 Green onions, chopped
1 tsp (5 mL) Cajun seasoning
1 tsp (5 mL) Lemon zest
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp (15 mL) Vegetable oil
1 Tomato, sliced
1 cup (250 mL) Shredded lettuce
1/2 Small onion, sliced
1 tbsp (15 mL) Sweet relish
1/2 cup (125 mL) Mayonnaise
Dash of hot sauce
1 tsp (5 mL) Horseradish
1 tbsp (15 mL) Ketchup
1 tsp (5 mL) Lemon juice


TEAR 1 hamburger bun into pieces and place in a food processor. Pulse into crumbs and transfer ¾ cup (175 mL) to a medium bowl (reserve remainder for future use). Add shrimp to food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Add shrimp to the breadcrumbs along with green onions, Cajun seasoning, lemon zest, salt and pepper. Mix gently, using your hands, then form into four - 1” (2.5 cm) thick patties. Refrigerate until firm, about 15 minutes.

HEAT oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until evenly browned and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Lightly toast the buns if desired. On bottom of each bun place a shrimp patty, tomato, lettuce and sliced onion and Top with remaining half of bun liberally spread with remoulade.

MIX all ingredients together in a small bowl.
