These have long been a favourite of mine with ham, so I knew they would be a perfect pair for the Prime ham and Swiss stuffed chicken.
|4||potatoes-peeled and sliced|
|1/2 tsp||crushed garlic|
|1 1/4 cup||milk (or cream for a richer taste)|
|1/2 cup||grated parmesan cheese|
|1/4 tsp||fresh ground pepper|
In a bowl combine milk, salt, garlic, mayonnaise, and parmesan cheese until smooth. Layer half the potatoes in a casserole dish. Pour half the liquid over them and sprinkle with half of the nutmeg and pepper. Layer the rest of the potato slices on top and pour in the remainder of the liquid. Sprinkle the top with the remainder of the nutmeg and pepper. Bake in the oven at 325F until top turns brown at edges and potatoes are tender (about 1 1/2 hours).
