|7||Slices Maple Leaf® Ready Crisp® Bacon Strips|
|1||Small onion, chopped|
|1/2||Green pepper, chopped1|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Vegetable oil|
|1 1/2 cups||(375 mL) Milk|
|1 1/2 cups||(375 mL) Flour|
|1/4 tsp||(1 mL) Salt|
|1/4 tsp||(1 mL) Dried sage|
HEAT a medium skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the sausages. Remove from heat.
CUT bacon slices in half and wrap around each of the sausages. Set aside.
SAUTÉ onion and pepper in the same skillet until soft but not browned.
PREHEAT oven to 400°F (200°C). Add oil to an 8x8” (2 L) casserole dish. Place in the preheated oven for 4-5 minutes until the oil is hot. Beat eggs, milk, flour, salt and sage until very smooth.
ARRANGE the bacon wrapped sausages in the bottom of the casserole dish, top with onion and peppers then the egg mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot.
