Taste the mouth-watering flavor of these Savory Sausage cheese Muffins that is perfect for breakfast and enjoy as a snack. I used a biscuit mix and buttermilk that resulted to a very good airy texture with ground sage, dried thyme, dried parsley and a cup of cheese to make this so tasty.
|1/2 Pkg||Schneiders Chicken Smoked Sausages-JMS Chicken Smoked Sausage MILD ITALIAN|
|1 tbsp||olive oil|
|1||and 3/4 cups biscuit mix|
|1/4 tsp||ground sage|
|1/4 tsp||dried thyme|
|3/4 cup||shredded cheddar cheese|
|1||large egg, lightly beaten|
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a skillet, add the olive oil, the Schneiders Chicken Smoked Sausage, stirring for about 5 minutes over medium heat until it crumbles. Drain well.
In a bowl, add the sausage, biscuit mix, and the ground sage, dried thyme and cheese.
Combine egg and buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Spoon batter into greased muffin pans about 2/3 full.
Bake 22 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
