This easy skillet meal will quickly become a favourite in the dinner rotation!
|4||Schneiders® Original Grill’ems, sliced on the bias|
|500||gr penne pasta|
|1||680 gr jar good quality marinara sauce|
|1 cup||(250 mL) mini bocconcini cheese balls|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) fresh basil, chopped|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) olive oil|
BRING a large pot of salted water to a boil.
COOK pasta per package directions.
DRAIN and set aside.
HEAT oil in a large skillet.
COOK sausage for about 4 to 5 minutes or until just browned.
ADD marinara sauce and stir to warm through.
ABOUT 2 minutes.
ADD pasta and basil to skillet and toss well to coat.
SEASON with salt and Pepper.
PLACE cheese balls over top and allow to melt.
GARNISH with parmesan cheese and additional basil if desired.
Serve with fresh bread and olive oil to dip!
