1 (454 g) Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Extra Lean Ground Turkey
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 Egg yolk
3/4 tsp (3 mL) Ground pepper
1 tsp (5 mL) Ground coriander seed
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Salt
1/4 cup (60 mL) Grated Swiss Cheese
1 cup (250 mL) Sauerkraut
4 Slices Swiss cheese
4 Dempster’s® Original Hamburger Buns
1 cup (250 mL) Shredded lettuce
4 tbsp (60 mL) Thousand Island dressing


PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high heat. Lightly coat grill with non-stick cooking spray.

MIX turkey, garlic, egg yolk, pepper, coriander, salt and grated Swiss cheese together in a large bowl, mixing gently with your hands. Form into four equal size patties.

PLACE patties on the grill and cook for 5-8 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). While still on the grill, top with equal amounts of sauerkraut and a slice of cheese. Allow cheese to melt.

ASSEMBLE by placing shredded lettuce on the bottom half of the buns topped with a burger. Cover with top half of the bun spread with Thousand Island dressing.


Serve with a side salad
