Hearty rich and satisfying this bacon burger has bacon inside and outside the burger! Spicy Chipotle pepper aioli and fresh arugula and radicchio top this cheddar bun.
|2 lbs||lean ground beef|
|5||slices Maple Leaf Bacon, minced|
|6||slices Maple Leaf Bacon|
|1 tsp||each salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme|
|1||chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced|
|1||clove of garlic, minced|
|4||bunches of arugula and radicchio leaves, washed|
|4||Cheese buns, split in half|
|6||pieces, jarred roasted red peppers|
In a food processor blend the garlic, mayo and chipotle pepper. Set aside.
Mix the minced bacon with the beef and sprices. Form into 4-6 patties.
Place on a heated BBQ grill and cook until juices run clear. Turning to caramelize on both sides to cook evenly.
Grill remaining bacon to a crisp.
Assembly: Spread a generous amount of Aioli on both insides of buns.
Top with a cooked patty, bacon, then with lettuce and roasted red pepper. Sandwich the top bun and serve
