Roasted Mashed Potatoes are a perfect side dish for Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Turkey in a Homestyle Gravy.
It is a quick and easy side dish paired with a protein and and fresh vegetable to make a nutritious dinner for any couple.
|3 lbs||Potatoes cooked and mashed|
|0.25 cup||Melted regular salted butter, plus more for dotting|
|0.50 cup||Cream cheese, softened|
|3 oz||Bacon cooked and chopped, ( 3 slices of bacon)|
|0.50 tbsp||Salt and black pepper|
|2 tbsp||Parmesan cheese, grated|
|1 tsp||Parley flakes|
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Add the butter, cream cheese, salt, pepper and chopped bacon to mashed potatoes. Stir/mash to combine. Test and adjust the seasonings. (You could add garlic if like.)
3. Spread the potato mixture into a large buttered 8 X 10 baking dish. Dot the top with butter, sprinkle on Parmesan cheese and parley flakes. Bake uncovered until heated through and golden brown on top, about 30 minutes.
4. Cooks Notes: Heat Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Turkey in a Homestyle Gravy, as per directions on box and
steam a fresh vegetable while the potato dish is are baking. (Potatoes can be made 1 day ahead of time and baked the next day. If you do not already have mashed potatoes, peel potatoes and boil in a pot of water until fork tender, 25 to 30 minutes. Drain and return to the pan over low heat. Mash the potatoes for 5 minutes to allow a lot of the steam to escape.)
