Crack out the skillet and get cooking! This ham dinner looks great and tastes even better with reuben- inspired flavors inside!
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Vegetable oil|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Maple Leaf® Ham Steak , cut into bite sized pieces|
|1||Small onion, diced|
|5||Potatoes, cooked and diced|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Sauerkraut, drained|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Ready prepared Thousand Islands dressing|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated Swiss cheese|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Chopped fresh parsley (optional)|
PREHEAT broiler to high. Arrange the oven rack in the upper third of the oven.
HEAT oil in a large cast iron skillet or ovenproof skillet over medium-high. Add ham, onions, and potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add sauerkraut and cook, stirring occasionally for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and drizzle with Thousand Islands dressing. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley if using. Place under the broiler and broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
