Simply combine Olivieri® Cheese and Spinach Ravioli with Olivieri® Tomato and Herb Sauce, Italian sausage and sautéed vegetables to create a delicious meal in less then 30 minutes!
|1||400g Maple Leaf® Sausage Meat|
|15 ml||Olive oil, divided|
|0.5||Yellow pepper, julienne|
|0.5||Red pepper, julienne|
|0.5||Medium onion, julienne|
|250 ml||Sliced mushrooms|
|600 ml||Tub Tomato and Herb Sauce|
|700 g||Package Cheese and Spinach Ravioli|
|Coarsely chopped parsley|
COOK sausage in a large pot of boiling water for 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
HEAT 2 tsp (10 mL) olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add peppers, onion and mushroom and cook for 2-3 minutes or until peppers are tender crisp. Add tomato and herb sauce to skillet and stir to heat through. Turn heat down to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
COOK pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water for 4 minutes. Drain pasta and add to skillet. Meanwhile, heat remaining 1 tsp (5 mL) olive oil in a medium sized skillet over medium high heat. Sear sausages on all sides until golden brown and cut into ½ inch (1 cm) pieces.
ADD sausage to skillet and toss to combine. Serve sprinkled with parsley and parmesan cheese.
