Try this South Asian fusion hot dog made with Kidney Bean Curry.


4 Maple Leaf Top Dogs, BBQ sized
4 hot dog buns
2 cans red kidney beans
1/2 can crushed tomatoes
3 tsp garam masala or mild curry
2 garlic cloves
1 medium onion
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp butter
2 tsp olive oil
80 g mozarella cheese, sliced


Use left over Rajma Musala or make some curried red kidney bean. Easy recipe uses canned beans.

Crush garlic cloves and onion into a paste and add spices. Heat butter and oil in a deep skillet, add paste, then add tomato and beans. Cook for about 10 minutes until flavours meld. Mixture should not be too thin or too thick.

Heat hot dog, add generous amount of Rajma, about 1/4 cup, top with cheese slices. Finish by setting under an oven grill until cheese finishes melting, only needs a few minutes.
