This savoury and filling samosas are perfect for entertaining or for a snack on the go!
|1 lb||Maple Leaf Prime® Ground Turkey|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) vegetable oil|
|2 Pkg||235 gr crescent dough|
|4||small yellow flesh potatoes, cubed and cooked|
|1||small onion, diced|
|1 cup||(250 mL) frozen peas|
|1/2 tbsp||(7.5 mL) coriander seeds|
|1/2 tsp||(2.5 mL) ground coriander|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) cumin|
|1/2 tsp||(2.5 mL) garam masala|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) ginger, minced|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) cilantro, chopped|
HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
HEAT coriander seeds in oil for about 30 seconds.
ADD turkey breaking apart with the back of a wooden spoon until browned, about 6 to 7 minutes.
ADD onion, ground coriander, cumin, garam masala, ginger and cilantro cooking 3 to 4 minutes longer.
STIR in peas and potatoes.
MIX well to combine.
PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees.
UNROLL crescent dough and using a table spoon place mixture onto dough and roll each one up.
PLACE crescents onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
PASTRY should be golden brown.
SERVE with tamarind sauce or chutney to dip.
Make ahead and freeze for a snack or party.
