This simple rustic dish is a winner, be sure to have plenty of fresh bread to soak up the delicious sauce!
|1 lb||Maple Leaf Prime® Ground Turkey|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) parsley, chopped|
|1/3 cup||(75 mL) parmesan cheese, grated|
|1||small onion, grated|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) garlic|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) olive oil|
|1||570 mL jar marinara sauce|
|1||pint cherry tomatoes|
|1 cup||(250 mL) green olives|
IN a large bowl combine ground turkey, parsley, garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
USING a tbsp form 18 meat balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
HEAT olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
WORKING in batches, brown meat balls 3 to 4 minutes and remove onto a plate.
ADD cherry tomatoes to skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until tomatoes start to blister and burst.
ADD olives and marinara sauce.
ADD meatballs back to skillet and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes or until meat balls reach and internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Make meat balls ahead of time and freeze until ready to use!
