Juicy, golden brown chicken wrapped around melted cheese, pepperoni and fresh basil. Dip these in warm Marinara, so delicious!
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Thin Slice Chicken Breast|
|Salt and pepper|
|4||Slices Provolone or Mozzarella cheese|
|15||Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Pepperoni Slices|
|2 tbsp||Olive oil|
|1||Jar ready prepared Marinara sauce|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190C).
ARRANGE the chicken on a cutting board. Season with salt and pepper. Place a slice of cheese over each piece of chicken and top with 3 slices of pepperoni and a basil leaf. Roll up tightly and secure with a toothpick.
HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add chicken rolls and cook for 1-2 minutes per side or until golden brown. Transfer the rolls to an oven proof pan and bake for 15 minutes or until cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
SERVE with warm Marinara sauce and a sprig of basil.
Serve with Parmesan buttered noodles on the side.
