Soft morsels of pizza dough filled and surrounded by bits of cooked crispy bologna & gooey cheddar. These are so fast and easy to make. Great for after school, party night or game day snacks
|1||raw pizza dough at room temperature|
|1 1/2 cup||shredded cheddar|
|4||slices Schneider Bologna, chopped into bits|
|1 tbsp||oregano, fresh or dried|
|1 cup||tomato sauce, preferably homemade|
|2 tbsp||vegetable oil|
Toss oregano, cheddar and bologna together into a large bowl.
Cut pizza dough into 2"-3" pieces. They don't have to be even.
Prepare a large baking sheet spreading 2 tbsp. oil on parchment paper or silpat sheet.
Toss 5-6 chunks or dough at a time into the bowl and press the filling into and around the dough pieces, Shape into round balls.
Continue until all dough balls and filling is finished.
Place tightly together on baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 365F oven until golden brown and crisp.
Serve with heated tomato sauce.
Mozzarella can be used as well.
