A delicious grilled cheese variant featuring pimento inside! Great treat for kids & adults alike!
|4 oz||(125 g) Cream cheese|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Mayonnaise|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Grated onion|
|1||Clove garlic, minced|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Cajun seasoning|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Pimentos from a jar, drained and mashed|
|Pinch of pepper|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated Sharp Cheddar cheese|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated Monterey Jack cheese|
|Butter, room temperature|
|12||Slices Villaggio® Original Thick Sliced Italian Style White Bread|
COMBINE all ingredients, except butter and bread, in a large bowl. Using a hand mixer beat until smooth. Divide between six slices of bread and top with remaining bread. Spread outside of each sandwich with butter.
HEAT a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and grill sandwiches for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown and crisp.
