Two types of deliciously melted cheeses on a Sourdough loaf make this a great start to any meal experience.
|1||Sourdough round loaf|
|1 cup||(80 mL) Olivieri® Garden Pesto|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Olive oil|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated Mozzarella cheese|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese|
PREHEAT oven to 350°F (180°C).
CUT bread, using a serrated knife in a crisscross pattern almost all the way to the bottom but not cutting entirely through.
COMBINE pesto, olive oil and cheese in a small bowl. Gently spread the mixture between all the segments of bread.
WRAP the bread in aluminum foil and place directly on the oven rack. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Unwrap the top and continue to bake for another 15 minutes or until the top is crisp. Serve immediately.
