This burger will have you dreaming of warm climates and tropical breezes, even if the Canadian weather isn't exactly cooperating.
|1 lb||Lean ground beef|
|4||slices, Maple Leaf bacon, finely chopped|
|2 tbsp||soy sauce|
|2 tsp||sesame oil|
|1/4 cup||dried onion|
|4||pineapple rings, drained|
|3 tsp||sesame oil|
Combine first seven ingredients, mixing thoroughly by hand and dividing into four patties, being sure to add an indent into the middle of each to prevent over rising
Heat BBQ or indoor grill pan to medium high heat
Cook approximately 10 minutes or until cooked through, flipping once
Set aside to rest.
Coat the pineapple rings with sesame oil and dust with allspice
Lower grill temperature to medium low to avoid burning.
Cook until well defined grill marks appear on both sides
Build the burger on a toasted Dempster's Brioche Bun with herb and garlic Havarti or Pepper Jack cheese and a sweet BBQ sauce
